How to Set Limits on a Roller Shade

Setting the limits on a roller shade stops the shade from over rolling by stopping the shade at a desired spot. Learn how to set the limit on your roller shade by reading the guide below.

  1. Roll the roller shade up to the desired stopping spot.
  2. Take the first bead below the roller shades's clutch and pull down on the chain until two beads are above the one you are holding and place the stop bead on it.
  3. For the lower limit, pull the shade down and repeat the same steps. Place the stop bead while the shade is pulled down.
  4. Roll the shade up and down to make sure the shade stops in the correct/desired places. If not, adjust where you placed the stop beads.
